Great Blue Heron Morning Portrait

Great blue heron in the morning light. Taken mid-September 2018 at Font Hill Wetlands Park. I have rarely seen great blues at the ponds in this particular park so I consider it a treat when one flies in and stays for a few photos. It was earlier in the morning while searching for kingfishers when this particular heron circled over several times and landed on the opposite side of the island. It spent several minutes wading across the pond in search of a meal before flying off. It circled several times again but did not land a second time.
